TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is solid.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That would round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
